Now, if I only knew what the question was. Here is the search string (dimeadozen.org membership required) for those of you familiar with bittorrent and ready to listen to the likes of Steve Perry and Neal Schon talking about their remarkable skills and success for, like, an entire week. Maybe we can finally understand why ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ has taken on the extraordinary cultural significance that it now has. Or why Schon ever shaved off that killer ‘stache.
Now I know what your hair would look like if you ever let it reeeeallly grow!! (i.e. just like Neal Schon.) But you would of course have to grow the ‘stache.
Do they talk about U2’s appropriation of the “Faithfully” riff on IGCIIDGCT????
I guess cats back then weren’t bashful about showing off their packages.
For the record, although I probably wasn’t listening to Journey at the time that photograph was taken, I certainly put Don’t Stop Believing on a mix tape back in the day. Maybe one of the first mix tapes I made (recording songs off the radio, like the Genesis ones “with the horns.”)
I may have also said, “Journey’s guitarist is wicked good” or something along those lines. You know, remember how people would get all serious and say something like “Neil Peart is the best drummer in the world.” Remember that?
