The Dean Resonator Chrome G. It may be fake, but it’s a pretty nice fake. When you can’t afford the real deal, fake it til you make it.

Yeah, man! Nice one.
By the way, I was wondering if you might recommend a good Albert King record. I’m thinking I might need to add a little blues to my current bluegrass jones.
With Albert, it’s all good, but, fortunately for you, there is one selection that is noticeably above the rest – Live Wire Blues Power. That is where to start. You won’t be disappointed by what you may sample later on, but that one record is like Dark Side of the Moon for Blues music – essential.
with all due respect, live wire blues power is NOT where i’d start. I think I started there and it’s never been my favorite. I prefer The Big Blues and Born Under a Bad Sign. For me, the early stuff and Stax is where it’s at. If you’re a huge SRV fan, you’ll enjoy the session they did together, but it’s not the best AK by any stretch. More of a novelty, but a really enjoyable novelty.
There are no BAD Albert King records. The man has enlarged my mind. The two mentioned by HK are tremendous – The Big Blues is a more recent acquisition for me and I love it. Just to be clear, while Live Wire Blues Power is not the earliest release, it is still a Stax release.
Thanks, gents. Maybe I’ll live a little and get all three!
