Between the steampunk sensibilities and the Peter Gabriel soundtrack appearance, I may like this.
Court, Deposition, Court again
Trial list this morning, but they weren’t ready for us. That means we could get called to pick a jury and get started at any moment between now and Wednesday. Luckily, I have an understanding, and patient client.
Now I’m in a deposition trying to pin down the exact location of a slip and fall accident. There’s lots of confusion and this witness isn’t helping. In this city there are lots of property lines right next to each other.
Tomorrow, if my trial doesn’t start, I go to Court in Media, Pennsylvania to meet with the Judge about a trial the will start sometime next month. I’m hoping we can settle.
Trailer for ‘The Thing’ looks great. The nightmares of Lovecraft and John Carpenter are coming back to life…
Here’s my comment from Live For Films, where I first saw the above
I always had a strong feeling about this project, as it was never weighed down with star power on either side of the camera. Can this story succeed without McCready? Well, we know it will be different. But now, seeing that there is not an excess of special effects in the trailer, I am starting to feel even more confidant. It seems more similar to the Carpenter movie and less like a prequel, but I’m OK with that.
Finally, @Sprint announces the Photon 4G for July 31. I am so there.
Good timing. My contract is up right about the same time this phone comes out, and it’s just what I want. Read the press release at Sprintfeed. I was an early adopter of Android with the Hero two years ago and no the handset can hardly dial, it’s so bogged down. I know the HTC Sense user interface is much beloved, but after two years with it, I’m really ready for a different look. So it will be Motorola Blur for a while. but in the meantime, bring on that dual core processor, front facing camera, 4.3 inch screen and a bunch of other goodies. Will it be better than an iPhone 5 (or 4s)? Probably not, but I’m committed to Android and it looks like the Photon 4G is moving right to the top of the heap.
Here’s that Squarepusher documentary
So, it’s only ten minutes. Why not just watch the whole thing? At the end you get to see graphic diagrams for his built-from-the-ground-up-rhythm-madness, and you don’t want to miss that, right?

A quick shot of the Burlington Marathon
…of which I ran half. This was my furthest run to date and it’s hard to imagine how soon I’ll be able to develop sufficient mental toughness to run an entire 26.2, but the Vermont City Marathon accommodated me and my indomitable wife by allowing us to enter as a relay team. I can’t wait to try another 13.1.
Undermind for @Gilli_es
While I may not be much of a Phish fan, hearing this song on local FarmFresh Radio as we were driving back from Burlington, VT, it just sounded SO right. Wish I was joining @Gilli_es at the show this Saturday, i think it’ll be a good one.
These Amon Tobin shows are going to be sick sick sick
Amon Tobin ‘ISAM’ Live Trailer from Ninja Tune on Vimeo.
I can’t tell if the 3D installation is going to be on tour with him or just at the Roundhouse in London, but even if it is a one-off, how amazing does this look?
The record ‘ISAM’ is very good, even as a purely aural experience. Check it out.
