Wow. (via Live For Films)

Got this from the wonderful folks at Unfilmable. I don’t know how long the video will be available, but it’s an hilarious 13 minute film about the horrors of sex ed., and anyone who has read Lovecraft will be splitting their sides with laughter.
‘Tracker’ is a film from New Zealand that not only has one of my favorite actors of all time, but also stunning visuals and photography and a simple story of a bounty hunter and a Maori fugitive falsely accused. The trailer is below, but may get pulled shortly. Read more at QuietEarth!

I feel like this project has been around for a long time and I’m glad it’s finally done, but this trailer makes it look WAY too mainstream. That being said, his recent effort for the Masters of Horror series “Cigarette Burns” was so good, I have no doubt that he’s still got it. I’ll be there.
When was the last time you watched a movie for over an hour-and-a-half and then just bailed out on the last 40 minutes because you didn’t give a shit and life is to damn short? At least this way, I didn’t have a problem with the ending – because I didn’t watch. There is NO ending that could redeem such a bland, uninteresting, boring and foolish piece of filmmaking. I just didn’t care.
‘From Beyond’ which I watched earlier in the day, was so good, it kinda makes up for the unfortunate (and now incomplete) nightcap.
I would be all about this for the soundtrack alone, but then factor in the extraordinary imagery of this trailer for “Beyond The Black Rainbow” and it simply takes my breath away. Get more details at Quiet Earth, but here’s the trailer that was shared earlier today:
If you’re not reading the Live For Films blog, do me the courtesy of saying why? In the meantime, I fucking love Steve Coogan:

Ray mutherfucking Winstone
Well, let’s up the ante a bit, shall we? Perhaps Michael Caine, Ray Winstone, Derek Jacobi, Vinnie Jones and Gerard Depardieu would make you feel better about the sheer credibility of it all? io9 is happy to report this project in preproduction, and I’m happy to be in receipt of such a report. Very happy indeed!
From the Darclight, the film’s production company, comes the following:
In an age of apocalypse, in a land without a leader, a dissolute prince finds redemption when he crushes a rebellion that threatens to destroy his father’s kingdom. But upon assuming the throne himself, he immediately engineers a war against a neighboring state to slake his lust for power.
Despite his enemy possessing weaponry rendering their forces almost invincible, the newly crowned king seizes a glorious victory from the jaws of defeat by ruthlessness and cunning. But for all his wiles there’s one thing the young monarch has overlooked. Just as he’s prepared to do whatever it takes to ensure victory, so is his enemy…
From QuietEarth, here is a trailer for something mysterious, dangerous and wonderful:
