\u00a0About one-half hour of all solid mixes, featuring Ghostface Killah and \u00a0People Under the Stairs<\/p>\n<p>Other stuff includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Weather Report radio &#8216;cast from 1975, courtesy the <a href=\"http:\/\/torrent.genesis-movement.org\/\">Genesis-Movement Torrent<\/a> site;<\/li>\n<li>Cult \/ Hare Krishna inspired music from <a href=\"http:\/\/ileoxumare.blogspot.com\/\">ile Oxumare<\/a>, including Santana and Alice Coltrane;<\/li>\n<li>If you pre-0rder the new Transatlantic record Whirlwind from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.radiantrecords.com\/\">RadiantRecords<\/a>, you get a download of their take on &#8216;Return of the Giant Hogweed&#8217; (courtesy <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spleenarcana.com\/\">Spleen Arcana<\/a>&#8216;s Tweet feed). \u00a0This is a great marketing move because the track is righteous and many proggers hate to wait;<\/li>\n<li>Recently off the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dimeadozen.org\">Dime<\/a> &#8211; Bruce Springsteen \u00a01973 (either radio or soundboard) and \u00a0ELP Santiago &#8217;93 &#8211; brilliant quality right of the radio!<\/li>\n<li>We saw The Sounds at <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_TLA\">TLA<\/a> on Saturday night, this was a mighty Swedish dance-rock outfit, fronted by <a href=\"http:\/\/upload.wikimedia.org\/wikipedia\/commons\/thumb\/6\/68\/CroppedMajaIvarsson.jpg\/220px-CroppedMajaIvarsson.jpg\">Maja Ivarsson<\/a>, who brings the voice, the sexy, plenty of F-bombs and a blow-dried blond &#8216;do that would make Madonna proud. \u00a0this was a high energy show that did a nice job of bringing new-wave into the 21st century. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/the-sounds.com\/\">Check out the music and get a free download at their website<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.americansongwriter.com\/2009\/08\/stephen-stills-ready-for-his-closeup-on-live-album-manassas-comp\/\">Stephen Stills has two \u00a0release coming shortly<\/a>; the first is a collection of Manassas outtakes, and, since the two studio albums are tremendous, this will be a must-have. \u00a0The other is a recent concert from the UK where the Stills featured solo-acoustic and full band renditions from throughout his career. \u00a0The live set is not expected until mid October, but the Manassas title is available starting tomorrow. \u00a0Here&#8217;s a taste of what the first Manassas record sounded like:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><object classid=\"clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000\" width=\"250\" height=\"40\" codebase=\"http:\/\/download.macromedia.com\/pub\/shockwave\/cabs\/flash\/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0\"><param name=\"wmode\" value=\"window\" \/><param name=\"allowScriptAccess\" value=\"always\" \/><param name=\"flashvars\" value=\"hostname=cowbell.grooveshark.com&amp;widgetID=15342652&amp;style=metal&amp;p=0\" \/><param name=\"src\" value=\"http:\/\/listen.grooveshark.com\/songWidget.swf\" \/><embed type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" width=\"250\" height=\"40\" src=\"http:\/\/listen.grooveshark.com\/songWidget.swf\" flashvars=\"hostname=cowbell.grooveshark.com&amp;widgetID=15342652&amp;style=metal&amp;p=0\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\" wmode=\"window\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s all kinds of other stuff going on, including Philly budget, house hunting, a guest post\/letter about some totally screwed up aspects of the state budget, Formula 1 racing going crazy, but maybe coming to New York City (?!!) and I&#8217;m finally starting to piece together my own mixtape #1 using Apple Logic.<\/p>\n<p>More on all that good stuff later. \u00a0For now, we got one more music post &#8211; the link for ya!
