Giger - Dune Worm XII\" src=\"http:\/\/mpomy.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/H.R.-Giger-Dune-Worm-XII-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"http:\/\/mpomy.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/H.R.-Giger-Dune-Worm-XII-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/mpomy.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/H.R.-Giger-Dune-Worm-XII.jpeg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The amazing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.richardkadrey.com\/\">Richard Kadrey<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Sandman-Slim-Novel-Richard-Kadrey\/dp\/0061714305\">Sandman Slim<\/a>)<a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/Richard_Kadrey\/status\/7682980027\"> tweeted about an earlier attempt to make Frank Herbert&#8217;s Dune novel into a film<\/a>. \u00a0I was only aware of the <a href=\"http:\/\/us.imdb.com\/title\/tt0087182\/\">1984 film by David Lynch<\/a>, which Kadrey describes as &#8220;a glorious mess&#8221;. \u00a0Personally, I&#8217;m a fan of the movie, but it&#8217;s not a top ten for me, despite the epic source material. \u00a0It seems, however, that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.duneinfo.com\/unseen\/jodorowsky.asp\">the earlier attempt by Alejandro Jadorowsky<\/a> (which was started and dismantled in the mid 70&#8217;s) would have been something else altogether &#8211; with help from Orson Welles, H.R.
